independence is not isolation

working alone can still mean building for other people

i value being able to start without waiting for a large team. that does not mean i should build without listening to anyone.

independence is useful when it shortens the distance between an idea and a real test. it becomes a blind spot when i confuse my own speed with proof that the product matters.

i want to keep the ability to make a decision and change direction quickly. i also want people to challenge my assumptions before those assumptions harden into architecture. the strongest version of solo building is not isolation. it is taking responsibility for bringing the work back to the people it is meant to serve.
